Eeewy! I stepped into something

After class I had a medical appointment to get some Orthotic Inserts cause I feet like a duck, anyhow so I walk in and was punched in the face by a harsh chemical smell and swear I was seeing the purple haze that Hendrix was referencing in one of his songs.
Mentioned it to the woman that was working upfront and she smiled at me and said yeah we get that all the time we just get used to it and dont smell it anymore... anyone else see a problem with this?
Talked to the doc for a bit and was told how the process works for making the inserts and how they will be shipped off and can be picked up in four to six weeks.
Any how the whole sticking your foot in low density foam is a cross between walking in sand and something that you would rather not know what you just stepped in. Very off sensation.
